Mark GrotjahnUntitled (Lavender Butterfly Jacaranda over Green)2004Oil on Linen178 x 89 cm Noticed a new Grotjahn butterfly - at the PAM today - very nice to see in person.. especially to sense the texture on the paint where the image forms, though I would trade all of that for the dancing black butterflies in color pencil any day. Even better though was the surprise to find another Agnes Martin piece a the top of the stairs…  this one an acrylic / graphite piece from the ‘90’s
